JAKS is a general contractor with its own millwork and cabinet shop in Wichita. When we remodel your kitchen, your cabinets are built here, to your exact dimensions, while the rest of the project moves in parallel. Inset doors, deep drawers, a pantry wall that uses every inch to the ceiling: the shop builds what the design calls for instead of what a catalog offers.
The rest of the room gets the same treatment under the same contract: countertops, backsplash, flooring, lighting, and paint, sequenced by one project manager and finished to one standard. If your project reaches beyond the kitchen, our remodeling team handles bathrooms and whole-home work the same way.

We measure your kitchen, listen to how you actually use it, and give you a written estimate with real numbers. No pressure, no obligation.

Design and selections
Layout, cabinetry design from our own shop, countertops, fixtures, and finishes. You approve the plan and the price before anything is demolished.

Cabinet fabrication
While permits and site prep move, your cabinetry is being built in our Wichita millwork shop, to your walls, not to catalog sizes.

Demo and construction
We protect the rest of your home, run demo, rough in any plumbing and electrical changes, and keep you posted on a regular cadence.

Install and finish
Cabinets, counters, backsplash, fixtures, and trim, installed by the same team that built the casework. Punch list closed before we call it done.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Wichita?
It depends on the size of the kitchen, whether the layout changes, and the finishes you choose. Cabinetry is usually the largest single line. We give you a written, itemized estimate for free after walking your kitchen, so you are pricing your project, not a national average.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A finish-level refresh runs shorter; a full remodel with layout changes runs longer, with cabinetry usually setting the pace. Because we build the cabinets in our own shop, we compress the wait that stalls most kitchen projects, and you get a written schedule before work starts.
Can I use my kitchen during the remodel?
There will be a stretch without a functioning kitchen, and anyone who promises otherwise is selling. We minimize it by sequencing demo as late as possible, staging a temporary kitchen space if you want one, and holding installation until your cabinetry is actually ready.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen in Wichita?
If the work moves plumbing, gas, or electrical, or touches structure, yes, through MABCD. Cosmetic replacements usually do not need one. We make the call correctly, pull what is required, and schedule the inspections as part of the job.
Should I reface my cabinets or replace them?
If your boxes are sound and the layout works, refacing with new doors and drawer fronts from our shop can transform the room for less. If the layout or storage is the problem, replacement is the honest answer. We build both, so our recommendation is not biased toward either.
Do you do the countertops, backsplash, and flooring too?
Yes. A kitchen remodel with us is the whole room under one contract: cabinetry, counters, backsplash, flooring, lighting, paint, and trim, finished to one standard.
