Goddard, Kansas
Goddard Is Growing. We Build For It.
Goddard contracts its permits and inspections through the county MABCD office, the same desk we work every week. New homes, remodels, additions, and cabinetry from our own shop.
How Goddard works
Goddard permits through the county office. That makes it simple.
Goddard is one of the Sedgwick County cities that contracts permits, plan review, and inspections to the Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department rather than running its own building department. Andale, Bentley, Cheney, Clearwater, Colwich, Garden Plain, Maize, Mulvane, and Valley Center do the same.
For your project that is good news. It means the permit desk, the plan review, and the inspectors are the same ones we work with on Wichita jobs every week, and our MABCD License 12358, Class A covers the work directly. There is no separate city license to chase and no unfamiliar process to learn on your dime.
Goddard has been one of the faster growing communities west of Wichita, which means a lot of newer homes reaching the age where kitchens and baths start to date, alongside steady new construction on open lots. We do both.
What we build here
Our Goddard work.
New home construction
Custom and semi-custom homes on Goddard lots, on a defined 13 stage schedule so you always know what stage your build is in.
Kitchen and bath remodeling
Goddard has a large stock of homes built in the 2000s growth wave, now reaching the age where the kitchen is the thing holding the house back.
Home additions
Room additions, garage expansions, and bonus space, permitted through MABCD and inspected on the standard county sequence.
Custom millwork and cabinetry
Built in our own Wichita shop, a straight run east on Kellogg, and installed by the crew that built it.
Roofing and storm restoration
Shingle and metal roofing, plus hail and wind claims worked with your adjuster from documentation through replacement.

Goddard Questions We Get Asked
Who issues building permits in Goddard?
Goddard contracts its permitting, plan review, and inspections to the Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department. That is the same office that handles Wichita, so the process, the codes, and the inspectors are the ones we work with every week.
Are you licensed to build in Goddard?
Yes. Because Goddard permits through MABCD, our MABCD license 12358, Class A covers the work directly. Class A is the broadest classification, covering all commercial and residential construction, and there is no separate Goddard city contractor license to obtain.
Do you build new homes in Goddard?
Yes, both custom and semi-custom. Goddard still has open lots and active development, and we run every build on the same defined 13 stage schedule with gates, so you always know which stage your home is in and what has to finish before the next one starts.
How far is Goddard from your shop?
Our shop and millwork floor are on East Kellogg in Wichita, which puts Goddard a straight run west on the same highway. Close enough that our cabinetry goes from our floor to your house without sitting in a supplier queue.
Can you handle a Goddard remodel and the cabinetry together?
That is the normal way we work. Demo, plumbing and electrical coordination, drywall, cabinetry, counters, and finish work come under one contract, and the cabinetry is built in our shop rather than ordered from a supplier.
